Our Calling: Freeing Others to Serve
We love working behind the scenes, supporting people both practically and spiritually. After 17 years of dedicated work with OMF Germany, we're heading back to Cambodia in May 2026.
Our mission is to free up those who serve on the front lines. Whether practically, structurally, or through personal conversations – we support wherever help is needed, so that others can fully live out their calling.
Our Experience for Cambodia
Cambodia is not unfamiliar territory for us. We already served there as a family from 2000 to 2009, focusing on church planting, leadership training, and community development.
During our years in Germany, we've deepened our expertise:
- Joachim served as Regional Director and academic PR consultant, building up the communications and public relations department. His strength lies in recognizing needs and finding straightforward solutions.
- Marlen most recently led the volunteer program „volunteers4asia“ accompanying over 100 volunteers. Her passion is personal encouragement and developing people's gifts.
We're now bringing this diverse experience to our international team of 18 nationalities, to support and empower both missionaries and local leaders.
Why This Service Matters
Our work is rooted in the biblical conviction from Ephesians 4:12:
"…to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."
Our aim is to foster unity, to grow in knowing Jesus Christ, and to reflect Him in all His fullness as the church. We want to use our experience and faith to help strengthen both missionaries and local Christians in their service.
